Once the service has been arranged, there are a number of memorial options to honour the memory of a loved one. To keep the ground as natural as possible, we do not allow large headstones or vases of flowers. Instead, we encourage trees to be planted and discreet slates or plaques to mark individual resting places.

Memorial Plaques

You may honour your loved ones memory with a small granite or wood plaque, which will be attached to the memorial tree and must not be bigger than 8x6 inches. The memorial trees provide focal points within the grounds and are a wonderful gesture for those who want to engrave a few words honouring the life or a memory of a loved one.

Memorial Trees

You may also plant a tree from our native trees list in honour of your loved one’s memory. This will enhance biodiversity on the ground and help to sustain the wildlife, whilst maintaining the natural environment as much as possible.

Please note that large trees up to 5m high are restricted to the parkland area only and small trees up to 2m high are strictly limited to the perimeter of our newly formed coppice areas.
